How are all of You, I hope You are well? Today I am coming at You with a review of English Mineral Make Up. If you want my review in one word, it is LOVE! If you want more details, You are in the right place. Swatches too – I hope You will find them helpful!

English Mineral Make Up is English make up brand started by mom and daughter duo (love this fact!) Jeanette and Grace Burrows. English Mineral Makeup Company combines luxury cosmetics with high quality minerals, creating products that are 100% natural, non-irritating, cruelty free and vegan friendly – to give You and Your skin the best! All the products are very finely milled & have very short and minimal list of ingredients. If You think You don’t like mineral make up because You think it is chalky, this brand will change Your mind – the products are silky and a joy to use, they practically blend themselves! The English Rose type of packaging is also worth noting, as well as their make up brushes which I find so much softer and better quality than most stuff on the market.

Foundation

Foundation comes in a white box with a mirror in a lid, and it’s packaged into this fabulous cardboard box that is so nice inside out, it would make a gorgeous present – gentlemen, take note. The first thing I noticed about the foundation is amazing coverage, it is so pigmented and I love it! One layer of this foundation will give you great coverage without looking cakey and it feels so light on the skin, like you have nothing at all. When the day goes by it only gets better, because mineral powders tend to stay put unlike like conventional make up. I have dermatitis on the face, and this powder did not irritate my skin at all, so all my ladies out there with sensitive or problematic skin do not be afraid of using this. Try the samples and you will be pleased you did. The powders are suitable for vegans and formulated with mineral ingredients, and they do not contain Bismuth oxychloride (BiOCI), talc, synthetic fragrances, parabens, or mineral oils. It’s also SPF15 which will give you some protection from the sun. The foundation has lots of shades, from very fair to dark, so I love the fact it is inclusive. And then, of course, the beautiful coverage! Feels very silky on the skin too. I am in the shade Neutral Light, but Cool Light also works for me.

INGREDIENTS: Ingredients: Micas, Titanium dioxide (CI77891), Zinc Oxide (CI 77947), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499) Silica Microspheres’ Ultramarine Blue (CI 770077), Chromium Oxide Green (CO 77288), Carnauba Wax.

Blush

The blush range has really expanded over the years and now they have something for everyone, see swatches! Housed in the same beautiful packaging it has the same great pigmentation, so a little goes a long way. I suggest just a slight tap into product, especially if You are new to it. I like that they are so pigmented, it means they will last me months if not years! Refills available when You are ready for it. As with all the products, they are vegan, cruelty free, no nano particles or synthetic ingredients. Complimentary kabuki brush is included.

INGREDIENTS: Mica, +/- CI 77891, +/- CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499, CI 77007

Please note they have so much more than foundation and blushes, primers, colour correctors, illuminators,  sustainably sourced glitter & something interesting called Fairy Godmother is also available. That’s mineral overnight treatment, which can also be used as a primer or a finishing powder. The brushes also deserve a special mention – the softest and the cutest ones I own!

Massive Moisture Lip Drench (vegan)

This is their new release, a lip product that You can use as a lip balm or a lip mask. My lips are really suffering from the harsh winds and this is really helping. As with other products, this is a vegan product with great minimal ingredients. You can choose from two shades. It comes in a 15g glass pot with metal lid – my no-waste or low-waste friends, take note!

INGREDIENTS: Jojoba Wax,Castor Oil,Calendula Oil, Sea Buckthorn Oil, Olus Oil, Vitamin E, Hemp Oil, Rosehip Oil, Apricot Oil, Shea Butter

VEGAN LASHES MASCARA

They say it is created for the most sensitive eyes and infused with the highest quality natural ingredients, Vegan Lashes natural Mascara gently adds volume and depth to your lashes.

Ingredients: Aqua, Cetyl Alcohol, Oryza Sativa Bran Oil, Oryza Sativa Bran Wax, Olea Europaea Fruit Oil, Glycerin, Copernicia Cerifera Cera, Alcohol Denat, Euphorbia Cerifera Wax, Cyclopentasiloxane, Cyclohexasiloxane, PVP, Stearic Acid, Aminomethyl Propanol, Phenoxyethanol, Hydroxyethylcellulose, CI77499.

First impressions are great, it does not irritate my lashes (and You guys know I am the most sensitive hooman bunny on the planet!), it has a great brush, the formula gives great length, although not much volume in my case. That’s ok though, I can always use my Jane Iredale lash primer underneath. If You are looking for natural effect lengthening mascara, this might be Your best bet? *update a few weeks later – I found it smudging, so gave it to my daughter who reported the same. EMM, I love You, but please consider to re-do this formula?

MY THOUGHTS ON THE PRODUCTS & SELFIE TIME

Well, as I already said, I am a fan for years! Seriously, just look at the last five or so years of Yearly Favourites and You will see the foundation there. Except for 2020, because I didn’t wear any make up, but now that I am reminded how good this is, I think I should go back and add it back up. The mascara and the lip drench are new to me, so the time will tell if they will also end up as Holy Grails in my collection. If You are looking for new mineral and very cleanly formulated products, You might want to check English Mineral Make Up out. Sold primarily via their website, they are also available in Eden Bishop’s Stortford Rhoobarb and Co in Whitby, Beyond Beauty in Ashford Kent, Total Looks in Harpenden and The Little box in Shuttingham staffs.

With so much praise, I ought to show You how the make up looks, it is only right, right? But please bear in mind, Your girl is tired and stressed from what’s currently going on, I feel 2020 aged me 10 years and it shows! Because I don’t do filters and am over 40, I might be not the best model to represent how beautiful these products are. I will try some more in the following weeks 🙂

English Mineral Make Up Look & Review

For this look I used very minimal products, the foundation in Cool Light, Vegan Lash mascara & Apricot blush on my eyes, cheeks and lips, mixed with The Lip Drench.

I will keep You posted with my thoughts and more looks! See one more look, as well as video swatch on my IG post here:
