Hi Lovelies,

Welcome back! And welcome if You are new here xoxo

Trilogy Skincare Review - Green Life In Dublin
Trilogy Skincare Review – Green Life In Dublin

I hope You are all well! How much do I love Love Lula*? 100+ posts much, that’s how much 🙂 So when they asked if I want to review Trilogy, I did not hesitate. Let’s see my three-weeks-use impressions of some of their skincare?

I say first impressions, but it is me two  three weeks into testing the products, just to get into the right perspective. I normally use products for at least six weeks before reviewing them, but since Love Lula wants their bloggers to submit reviews the same month, three three weeks it is.

For the reference, my skin is very sensitive, dermatitis prone and dry. You can also class it as mature, because I am on the good side of 40s.

Let’s see about the brand first?

Trilogy was founded in 2002 by New Zealand sisters Sarah Gibbs and Catherine de Groot in the belief that, like themselves, people wanted to make more natural and ethical choices for their skincare, without having to sacrifice quality. It began with the discovery of Rosehip Oil and started a revolution which helped people realise that you don’t have to sacrifice performance for natural. Trilogy’s Certified Organic Rosehip Oil has become one of the most awarded beauty oils in the world. Products are designed to work in true harmony with your skin using fine, natural ingredients in their purest form. Trilogy products contain simple blends of pure botanical extracts which restore the natural vitality and radiance of skin and hair by working in perfect harmony with them.

The philosophy is simple: natural skincare that works. Trilogy creates products for women who want to make a conscious decision about the way they care for their skin, their well-being and the world:

  • Products are tested in independent clinical studies
  • Trilogy Certified Organic Rosehip Oil and Rosehip Oil Antioxidant+ are certified organic by BioGro NZ Ltd and IFOM accredited organisation.
  • The Trilogy range has achieved Natural Cosmetic Certification under the internationally recognised NATRUE standard.
  • Products are certified Carbon Zero.

All that sounds amazing and I know for the fact that Trilogy has a cult following in the green beauty community, so I am definitely curious if it lives up to expectations.

Trilogy Certified Organic Rosehip Oil

Let’s start with the product I knew I was going to love, the rosehip oil. You see, this is my favourite oil in the whole wide word. This was the first ever natural oil I have tried more than a decade ago and it was exactly the thing that has started my green beauty journey. As soon as I saw the changes it did to my skin, I knew it was a love forever. Let me tell You about the rosehip oil itself and I will compare this oil to the ones I have tried – it’s been many and many. Apparently it’s used & love by celebrities such as Miranda Kerr, Victoria Beckham & Kate Middleton. Good to know I am in a good company 🙂

Rosehip oil contains vitamin C and vitamin A. It also contains essential fatty acids such as:

  • oleic acid
  • palmitic acid
  • linoleic acid
  • gamma linolenic acid

Rosehip oil is also a good source of vitamin F, a fatty acid made of linoleic acid and alpha-linoleic acid. It might help with the following:

  • reducing and reversing sun damage
  • reducing wrinkles
  • reducing hyperpigmentation
  • treating mild to moderate acne

There is anecdotal evidence that rosehip oil reduces the appearance of scars and stretch marks. But there is no scientific evidence to back up the claim. It may be due to the vitamin A, vitamin C, and fatty acid content of the oil.

My experience with the rosehip oil has been exactly that, it hydrated and moisturised my skin, reduced the discoloration, helped with fine lines and even reversed sun damage, which left my jaw on the floor. A little personal note, the rosehip oil has this specific smell to it, some brands deodorise it more than others, so if You have tried one brand, please do not think they are all the same. Shop around to find what suits You the most.

MY THOUGHTS & OVERALL EXPERIENCE:

I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed testing these products and I am happy to report no reactions or irritations. This comes from the most sensitive skinned gal on the planet, so it is saying something. Obviously we are all different, have different skins and skincare needs, but I have to say I am suitably impressed. All of the products are now a part of my daily skincare routine. So if You are eyeing the products for a while now, I’d say go for it. If You are on the budget and don’t want to shell out money for full sizes, try samples – found here – Love Lula is no more, sob!!

I will keep You posted if these products will end up on my Holy Grails products list in the long run.

Now, Your turn! Have You tried Trilogy products? What are Your impressions of them? Please share with me, I would love to know.

Thanks for reading, I appreciate You coming to my little corner of internet.

Lots of Love,

Renata.
