How are all of you, I hope life is treating you well? I’ve been thinking about my favourite products lately and which ones are long standing ones, and I have came up with a blog post on the spot – let’s see my ride or die favourites from 2018 still used daily today?
If you follow me for any amount of time, you would know that Love Lula is one of my absolutely favourite online shops – and for a good reason! Thousands and thousands of clean beauty products to choose from, natural skincare, hair care, body care, tools, make up – they have everything! I have been a satisfied customer for years and years before being accepted into their blogger family, and I am so happy to report that my experiences as customer Renata and blogger Renata are equally good! I always got what I ordered without a single mistake ever, all my queries were answered promptly and clearly, happy to say they have the best customer service ever and they treat everyone with respect. Today I will do a bit of a different post, a Clean Beauty tag one. I was watching Andie’s The Green Queen Clean Beauty Tag video (here) and it turns out the tag was created by the Conscious Bee (see her video here) whom I just discovered in a series of serendipitous moments. Loving what I saw, I self tagged into it, because that’s how I roll 🙂 Both ladies did Youtube videos, Get Ready With Me style, but since I am a blogger, not a Youtuber, I will improvise a bit – I will answer questions first and will link to some of the make up post after, pretending I was sort of doing make up all along. There are quite a few I’ve done lately, what can I say, I have rediscovered my love for make up 🙂
See my Natural Beauty interview with adorable Andie here and let’s get into the tag, shall we?
CLEAN BEAUTY TAG:
1. When did u switch to green beauty and why?
That was around a decade ago, after accidentally discovering Janey Lee Grace’s book Imperfectly Natural Woman – I was looking for some light read for the weekend and that book changed my life! Many years later I managed to get Natural Beauty interview with Janey Lee Grace, see that post here. Funny story with that book, I had to buy it not one, not two, but four times, because after reading it I started lending the book to everyone around me and I didn’t get it back a couple of times. So I had to buy it for myself again and again, and it was the exact same book I did my very first Instagram giveaway with 🙂 Before that I was naively assuming that all the products on the shelves go through rigorous testing for safety and ingredients aren’t harmful for humans in any way shape or form- oh boy, how wrong I was! I was sick to my stomach to find out how many harmful ingredients are in our skincare (formaldehyde in babies products for God’s sake, don’t get me started on this!!) and I started switching out my products there and then. But the trouble was, clean beauty products were soooo hard to find back then – most people (millennials) will have a hard time believing this, but there were NO online shops back then, so I was having the hardest time switching my products. Yes, you read that right, no Detox Markets, no Love Lula or anything. In fact, I can credit Janey Lee Grace for my blog too – I was having the worst time finding not only my best natural products, but any natural products around me at all, so I remember thinking to myself “this is nuts, what if someone is going through the same transformation and does not know where to start or where to go, I better blog about this to let people know”. So that’s how my blog started, out of desire to help out fellow green beauty sisters – and that’s still a driving force behind my blog to this day! I was here before it became popular and way before PR and marketing was happening. Up until two years or so ago I was purchasing all the products myself, so if that doesn’t prove I am not in it for the money, then I don’t know what will. Fortunately the green beauty scene exploded since – and that makes me very happy! I kind of made it my mission to help all the ladies (and gents) to switch to natural and organic products. Clean beauty world has an answer to any conventional product out there, and it is a proven fact the products work – and they work even better! Just check my post on more than 20 natural dupes for Nars Orgasm here for example – I worked really hard on that post 🙂
2. Do you remember your first green makeup product? Did it work well for you?
Yes I do – it was a Dr Hauschka mascara and for then-unemployed me it cost me eye wateringly amount of money, I remember wincing when parting with my cash – and to make matters worse, it didn’t do anything apart from making my lashes black and it started crumbling in the first week. I remember thinking “oh no, what if all the natural products are so expensive and work so bad?”. Fortunately I was able to find a Holy Grail product in every single category since, you can see them here. I sifted through a ton of products to find good ones that work amazingly well. And they are at all price points too – you don’t need to spend a ton of money in every single category. I choose to splurge on skincare (I am five minutes to forty after all, I kind of need to) and am quite happy to save on body care for example. No money? No problem, use coconut oil as your body moisturizer! Make up? I have it at all price points starting from just 2.50€ going to up to 50€ for a palette. I think that is quite reasonable, no?
3. Have you noticed a change in your skin/overall health since the switch?
Yes! My skin was a disaster before the switch – dry, super sensitive, reactive to every single product I have tried and more and more adult acne as the time went by – and amazingly I never attributed my skin’s conditions are caused directly by the products I was using. I guess I was blindly falling for the “I am worth it” marketing hype – oh the naivety of me! Insert face palm emoji here 🙂 I see history repeating itself with my elder daughter, who’s is convinced she needs certain ingredients and products for her skin to look good. She buys her own products (oftentimes conventional, resistance to parents, sigh) but she reacts to them more often than not, so I am strategically suggesting natural alternatives and am doing a happy little dance every time she does not reject something. I have to say she and I started on the wrong foot with all things natural – I gave her my own DIY deodorant and it burned her pits – turns out she is allergic to baking soda! not only in deodorants but in toothpastes and dry shampoos, everything 🙁 She rejected all natural products for a couple of years since then, and I can’t say I blame her. Slowly but surely she is coming to our side, but we have a long way to go. I do not push her in any way shape or form, I am not one of those green beauty bullies with scare mongering tactics, you might notice that in a way I blog too – I simply let people know about amazing natural stuff and let people think and choose for themselves.
Whoops, Renata, get back to the question, will you? Yes, my skin balanced itself in a month when I switched to natural products and the acne never came back – amazing or what?
4. Is there anything you wish was different about the green beauty space?
Yes, a few things come to mind. Price points for one (a whole topic on it’s own, for another time maybe, there are few things worth their price point, but not all) limited shade ranges when it comes to make up; scare mongering tactics needs to go, as well as greenwashing.
5. What is the nr 1 ingredient you avoid in cosmetics?
Fragrance, parabens, bismuth oxychloride, phenoxyethanol – although the latter is increasingly hard to avoid, it is everywhere!
6. What are your favorite 3 make up products you discovered thus far?
Well, if we are talking about make up only, my first love would be Peachy Keen by Inika– it is a natural and more gorgeous version of Nars Orgasm, even though it does not look like much in most of online shop photos. Trust me, it will get you all heart eyed once you will get it and put it on. Very concentrated, so the jar will last you for years, I promise! Nars Orgasm was the last product I switched, but having found Peachy Keen, I haven’t looked back.
Next would be my trusty workhorse for many many years, a product used and appreciated daily; I have stuck with it going through branding and packaging changes – please step forward Hynt Beauty Duet Perfecting Concealer! By far the most full coverage concealer in the green beauty or not green beauty and it is something I keep coming back to no matter how many other products I have tried. I have not one but two reviews of it on my old blog (see here and here) so I won’t be going into too many details here. So well worth the money, I have my last jar for well over the year and I am yet to hit pan or see a change in the formula (as in going bad) when my newer concealers are starting to smell a bit off after six months. I can’t praise it enough, really. Just one teeny tiny thing, dear Hynt Beauty, if you are reading this, please introduce a shade in between of Light and Medium – those two shades need to have a love child, pronto! You have introduced a shade in between for the darker shades, now please do so for the lighter ones too, pretty please? As you can guess, I happen to be in between the shades and would love to be able to buy just one jar instead of two at a time. The formula is very impressive, so that’s why I keep buying two shades, but I have heard many and many ladies say the same thing. Once again, Hynt Beauty, pretty please?
Do you guys know how hard this question is?? I have to say both moisturizers and Antioxidant Booster by Bella Aura Skincare (review) – I can’t live without them!
8. What brands do you really want to try but still haven’t?
My wishlist is probably two miles long, haha! The first brands that come to mind are Okoko Cosmetiques, Lovinah, Osea, Live Botanicals, Blue Beautifly, De Mamiel, Odacite, Mayia Chia, Aether Beauty, Laurel, Antonym, Amly – do I need to go on? 🙂
9. What type of product do you buy the most of?
Toothpaste, rinse, body wash (mostly soap, Black African soap preferably). Body Oils. Shampoo. From beauty products, mascara. Same like a regular person, really.
10. Do you like trying new skincare products or do you keep a certain routine?
A bit of both really. My uber sensitive and dermatitis prone skin does not allow me much room for wriggle, I am most likely to react to any product, even to the ones everyone is raving about. Having found my perfect skincare in Bella Aura, I kind of don’t want to test or try anything else, plus having put my skin through a marathon (and burning it more than once!) for the sake of judging in the green beauty awards (see more on my IG), I don’t really want to try anything else for the time being. But still there comes a product from time to time that calls my name organically and I get that magical experience – I am talking about May Lindstrom Blue Cocoon as an example, see more in my recent Favourites post here.
11. If you could only buy from one brand, which one would you choose? Pick one for makeup and one for skincare.
Skincare, easy – Bella Aura! Make up, it would have to be between Inika(amazing blushes and mascara) and Hynt Beauty(concealer and lipstick Holy Grails), but W3LL People are also very high up there – oh, what to do??
12. What do you love about makeup? What about skincare?
I love that make up lets me create the best version of myself – isn’t that amazing how much more confident you feel when you look great? Skincare is my everyday treat to myself, my “me time”, my self care. What’s not to love, am I right or am I right?
13. Name your favorite thing about the Green Beauty community?
The support! I am so so grateful to green beauty community for welcoming me with open arms. Up until then I was kind of not belonging or should I say not feeling welcome anywhere really, and this is where I feel at home and feeling like I am contributing to a great cause. Andie’s comment about other women struck a chord with me, all the backstabbing in my life came from other women, even close friends, so I was kind of floating around in life not feeling that love, support, girl or sister power, up until I discovered the green beauty community. Huge thanks each and every one of you!
(ps. catty behaviour still happens in the green beauty world, this is an industry like any other industry. Fact of life)
Now that all of the questions are answered, let’s pretend I was doing make up at the same time 🙂 I will link three of my last make up posts, so check out the one which look you like the most – I didn’t mention any make up in my recent Favourites post, but any product from those posts below is still a strong favourite to date. Or skip them all together. Your call. Thanks for reading anyway!
Welcome back! And welcome, if you are new here 💕💕💕
Umm, yeah, this happened 🙂 I used to be on top of my empties posts, every month or a quarter at least. You guys know my style, my posts are usually very long because I try to cover every single base I can think of, from company itself, to ingredients, to user experience, whether I liked it or not and why, plus linking everything, products, reviews; you know the drill. Couple that with other projects I’ve had, reviews, judging for a few clean beauty awards and the constant upkeep with the social media and you would understand why these posts became the pain-in-th-you-know-what to do. However I think it is important for me to do empties posts so you guys could see that the products I am using and the reviewing are the same products, plus you guys want me to keep these posts up – so there you go, this is for you lovelies. Something’s gotta give though, this blog is a passion project of mine, not a paid gig, so I don’t want to spend all of my time away from my family, blogging at all hours of the day. So no more links, instead of elaborate opinions and explanations of why I think something is great (or not), I will group them in categories of “Repurchasing” “Not Repurchasing” and if you have any questions, ask. Most of the products will have either reviews or mentions in some posts or the other, so be sure to hit that search box. Thanks for reading in advance!
How are you all doing? I hope you are well? Now that the sun is out and my SAD has lifted, I feel so much better and feel the zest for life coming back. It also means I got interested in my products so much more, so therefore I have been testing lots, sifting through what’s good and what’s not – and sharing the best with you! Ready to get started? I thought you would never ask 🙂
Welcome back! And if you are new here, welcome 💕💕💕
Today I am coming at you with a short post on what you can find in the beauty section in your local TK Maxx, or TJ Maxx for my US green beauty sisters. This has been my secret weapon for years, and I I hope more of you will discover this great place to shop and save a bit of money too. This is especially great for people like me, when you have no Wholefoods or Detox Market or any place indeed where you can get anything your heart desires under one roof in your city. A good few stores are now jumping on the natural beauty bandwagon, but when you actually look into the selection, it is oftentimes very expensive or just plain greenwashing brands and products. So what’s a gal to do? Apart from going online, check out TK Maxx! Continue reading “Natural Products in TK Maxx”
Welcome back! And welcome, if you are are new here 💕💕💕
As I explained in my last month’s post, Love Lula wants us, lucky ducks also known as Love Lula bloggers, to post about the products we pick in the same month, so therefore I am changing the way I blog about them too. I used to collect a few products over time and only then post my reviews, but from now on, I have decided to talk about the products I pick in the given month on a first impressions basis, and give more detailed feedback about my last month’s picks at the end of the post. I think this will work out pretty well for all of us, don’t you think? I will do the same for the Love Lula Beauty Box posts too.
So without further ado, let’s see what took my fancy this month? Well, it might be a bit of an odd choice, but I picked Kai Hamman style soap with a matching glove… and a lipstick. Insert blushing emoji here 🙂 Let me explain! Due to a bit of surplus of skincare past The Beauty Shortlist Awards, I had a good talk with myself asking what I actually needed at the moment, so I settled on the products mentioned. Trust me to be attracted to all the things weird and a bit off norm – step forward gloopy exfoliating soaps (Kai) and products with flower and crystal essences! (Nature’s Wish, talked about in my last month’s post) I wanted to try this sauna type soap for forever, not even sure why, I have been to an actual sauna just a couple of times in my life! I actually wanted it for the start of the winter due to eucalyptus, I figured out it must be a good thing to use in winter to stay healthy. It seemed to be sold out every time I looked for it, so now is a good time as any, so I am very excited to be trying it. I also made sure to get a kessa glove after reading a lot of reviews, I knew it is crucial step to get the most out of the experience. Shall we look in the ingredients of the products? The list is impressively short and truly natural – some cheaper hammam soaps I’ve looked into (not on Love Lula, mind you!) had sneaky fillers in form of mineral oil and other nasties, so here’s a little takeaway for you – make sure to always, always check the ingredients prior to buying anything!
(I did not find what’s it made from either on Love Lula or the brand’s website)
Like the soaps traditionally used in the oriental hammam (steam room), Savon Noir Black Soap is a 100% vegetable paste made of olive oil, eucalyptus essential oil and salt. It cleanses and removes dead skin cells while hydrating and firming skin . It is rich in vitamin E and is suitable for all skin types.
How to use Kae Traditional Black Hammam Soap with Eucalyptus:
In the shower : massage in the black soap on your wet skin, rinse then scrub vigorously with the Kaé “kessa” glove. Rinse with cool water keeping on scrubbing in order to eliminate dead cells. Black soap can replace your common soap or shower gel. Result : a remarkably soft skin.
In the bath : apply on body with your hand then scrub vigorously with the Kaé “kessa” glove (for the face, use your hands). This will take off dead cells for a suppler, well hydrated skin and a firming effect in the long run.
Both the soap and the glove have five star reviews on the website, so I am expecting good things from it. We shall see. So far I used it twice or trice, and first impressions are really good! The soap has a nice texture and uplifting eucalyptus scent, which might be not to everyone’s liking, but let me tell you it is so good to experience those additional aromatherapy benefits, and it is so good at clearing your sinuses. I already can tell you for a fact I will be purchasing another jar at the start of every winter to come. The kessa glove looks like it is a good quality product, it shrunk a bit on the first use, but that’s not a problem at all as it fits my hand very comfortably now, whereas it was too big when I purchased. Its is the best exfoliating glove I’ve had to date, so so good at removing those pesky dead skin layers. Up until now I wasn’t the one to invest in the proper shower glove, preferring to buy any cheapie instead, but this blows them all out of water. Rally enjoying the soap itself too, it really does what it say on the box (err, plastic jar) – cleanses, removes dead skin cells, is not drying in the slightest, which I love. The brand also says it should firm the skin with continuous use. I am yet to see that, but would be very happy to see the firming action going on – at a (very) wrong end of 30s, I want all the firming action I can get, haha! I will definitely update you on this next month. So far, so good, I am very happy with my choice.
Another product that caught my eye was a duo lipstick from Emani. I don’t know about you, but I was like a little kid when I spotted them on the website – the thought of having different colours on my top and bottom lips excites me! Like a mini rebellion in an office environment or something 🙂 After mulling over which one to choose, I went for Xanadu, which is described as peach and pink, but looks rather dark on the website. From the experience I know what you expect and what you will actually get might be two very different things, so I poked around online and IG for the reviews and swatches, and I settled for Xanadu, but Shangri La (hot pink and soft pink) also called my name – maybe that’s my next purchase, who knows? Here you can see it swatched, both sides, but no picture of me modelling it yet, truth to be told I am sporting not only a juicy cold sore but also a dermatitis outbreak at the moment, so no can do, sorry, but there’s always next month, right? Plus I am also including it in the Green Beauty Swatch Gallery post right here.
Ingredients: Ricinus Comunis Seed Oil, Jojoba Ester, Castor Isostearate Succinate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Euphorbia Cerifera, Copernica Cerifera Cera, Mica, Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxides Ci 77947, Ci 77489, Ci 77491 May Contain Ci 15850/ Red 6, Ci15850/ Red 7, Ci91490/ Yellow 5
So here are my choices for this month, happy enough with everything. Let’s see my thoughts about the products from last month, shall we? I thought you will never ask!
If you are still using conventional Batiste type of stuff, you should know this is very different from that and might take some adjusting. Not a spray can by any means, this is shake and apply kind of mechanism. For the product itself, imagine the cleanest ingredients possible, with nice extracts and powdered herbs like nettle. I don’t know if this is my do all and end all natural dry shampoo, it is nice and I like it, but I’ll probably get something else when I will run out. Purely because this is only my second bottle of brand shampoo – up until now I’ve been DIYing it. So I will probably want to see what else is out there, you know? At rate I am using it, I am good for a year or something – you need only a little.
Umm, let me be clear with you, I didn’t use it enough to form a final opinion on it yet. The instructions say to use it twice a day, basically soak the scalp with it and rub it in. The morning soak didn’t happen – my mornings are too rushed and stressful, and besides I don’t want to leave the house with a wet head. From what I remembered to use in the evenings, I didn’t see any difference if I am honest. I am half a bottle down and I am debating with myself whether to continue or give it to my husband who has mild scalp psoriasis and weird acne that was never there before. We will see. I was expecting big things from it and I was pretty underwhelmed. Sorry, just being honest.
I spotted this brand as soon as they appeared in Love Lula – and almost immediately all of the products went into my Pinterest Wishlist. Well, not only I enjoy using this product, I am also collaborating with a brand for a separate review and there *might* be a mini giveaway involved too 🙂 So please keep your eyes peeled and keep checking back often 🙂
P.s. Please make my day and subscribe & share this or any of my blog posts on social media – it helps to get the green beauty word out and for that I Thank You!
Welcome back! And if you are new here, welcome 💕💕💕

RAHUA VOLUMINOUS SHAMPOO
My Holy Grail of all green beauty shampoos, and I never want to be without it ever again. Sounds quite dramatic, but hear me out – I have suffered two years of bad hair days trying to switch my shampoo to a clean version, and after two friggin years I wasn’t sure whether to cry and go back to the conventional shampoos or tear my hair out (or rather bird nest at that stage) and keep persevering with natural shampoos that never worked for me. Until RAHUA happened. See full review here and you will know that even though this is quite pricy for a shampoo, to me, it is worth every penny. Last for six months and never gives me any scalp issues 99% of the shampoos did. My Holy Grail if You will.
Rare Indigo is a miraculous product for my dermatitis prone skin. Get this, one sample pot of it was enough to impress me so much that I included it into my Yearly Favourites in 2016, the year I discovered it. I went on to purchase a few full sized versions of it since. I have also had The Bean mask and the The Vitality Elixir Facial Serum, both of them are dreamy. See full review here. The ingredients in each product are outstanding – and I dream of the day I will come into money and will be able to treat myself to the whole Mahalo collection without giving any thought to budgeting.
MAY LINDSTROM THE BLUE COCOON
Another version of the balm with the ultra healing blue tansy in it (hence the blue colour). After a few samples I splurged on a full size this year, and I am in love!
DR.ALKAITIS ORGANIC SOOTHING GEL
W3LL PEOPLE MAKE UP
W3LL People is a brand that has my heart, even though they left EU a while ago. Their Bio Tint Multi-action Moisturizer with SPF30 quickly took over as my favourite facial SPF product, and mascara is amazeballs too. Dreading the day I will run out of both. I am about to reviews them soon, but in the meantime check my thoughts in a bit more detail here and see me using a few products in this post titled Natural Make Up Look Using Natural & Organic Products – sans filters, no less!
Ps. W3LL People, if you are reading this – you need to come back to the EU ASAP! I’ll start a campaign if it needs to be! Yes, I am that serious.
Those Caffeine sheet masks are so great – they make your skin red carpet ready, no less. Whenever my skin is seriously misbehaving – red, blotchy, irritated, dry in places – I always reach for it and it never disappoints. See full review and my tips on how to make them work 3x longer here.
Another Holy Grail and a firm favorite – I am never without one for the last five year. I love all of them, but Moon Balm is my nr1 – it has different texture than the rest of them and it is perfect for nights and winter time.
Two things are absolute standouts for me – their Duet Perfecting Concealer and Pinkibelle, one of their Aria lipsticks. All of the line seems really nice and pure, samples I’ve had never disappointed me and I plan to pick up more products in the near future. Now let’s talk about the products I absolutely love – the concealer is the most full coverage concealer green beauty has to offer. It is one of the hardest working products in my stash – used daily for the last five years, or more, I can’t really remember when I discovered it. I tried numerous clean concealers since, but I always go back to it. A true Holy Grail indeed! See reviews on it here and here. Pinkibelle is more recent discovery and a favourite for very subjecting reason – it is my perfect nude I’ve been looking for for so many years! See me modeling it here.
Living Libations products are one of a kind when it comes to quality, once you will try, soon you will want everything! Sea Buckthorn Best Skin Ever, Dew Dab, shampoos, Zest The Best, Everybody Loves Sunshine with Zinc and dental products are what I’ve tried to date, and I am in love with all of them. Can I have a lifetime subscription to all of them please? And every product I haven’t tried, please?
RMS Beauty Mod Palette
Cult classic in the green beauty, this brand needs no introduction. See me working their Mod palette here.
Another great natural make up brand I’ve used and never reviewed – oops! Love their foundation, primer and multiples.
Any of their supplements is great, and now that are on sale, even better!
Ah, Lotus Wei – you had my heart since the first spritz and swipe… Not only these flower essences work on a cellular level, bu they also contain essential oils and smell ahmaaazing (flower essences don’t smell of anything interestingly enough) and I want to own every single one of them! Review here for those of you interested.
Amazing line for troubled skin like mine. The cleanser is really gentle and their Bio Regenerating Rosehip Oil is stuff of the legends – seriously, it has been on every editor’s “best products” list. For a good reason I’d add, it is seriously the best. It contains oil not from the rosehip seeds, but from the fruit itself too, making it superior to other rosehip oils on the market. One bottle lasts over a year, and if you are looking for natural alternative for retinols, look no further!
HONUA BEAUTY WATER
I was a lucky duck to win this via Instagram competition, and I have to say I love it a lot. Does not irritate my sensitive skin at all. This is one of the products that you can FEEL working on your skin – enzyme exfoliant will reveal new skin underneath in no time. A repurchase for sure!
And if you still will have some space left over, you can get either gua sha or jade roller – you know you want to 🙂
Welcome back! And welcome, if you are new here 💕💕💕
How are all of you, I hope you are well? Now that the weather is getting warmer by day, I hope everybody feels alright? If you follow me for some time, you might know I am one lucky duck also known as a part of Love Lula Accredited Bloggers, and each month we have an opportunity to choose products we want to review. Up until now I was working in a manner where I was taking my time testing the products thoroughly before posting reviews, and maybe taking my time to collect them one by one in a couple of months if that happened to be more pricy products. Which means my reviews didn’t always match what I picked that particular month. From now on Love Lula wants us to post about our picks in the same month, which means I have to chance the way I blog, but by no means the reviews will cease or be any less throughout. I simply love the feedback from you guys where I am often told my reviews are the best in a way that I touch on every aspect possible and no one does more detailed reviews than me. Why, thank you, this is music to my ears and exact driving force for my blog. Thanks for making my day guys!
I had a good talk with myself on the ways I will make this work, and I came up with the solution – I will do a blog post on the products I picked each month , the reasons I picked said products & my first impressions of them, and I will update you with more detailed feedback at the end of the next month’s post. Let me be more clear – for this month I picked up A B & C products, so I will talk about them in first impressions style post today, and I will give you my feedback in more detail in next month, right after I will talk about next month’s picks D, E & F.
So, without further ado, let’s see what I picked for this month, ok? I know that’s why you are here after all! Apparently I was in need of a good hair days and joy in my life when I was picking up products 🙂
Tabitha is the talk of the town at the moment because her products are featured in one of the most popular beauty boxes, so you will hear about them all over the media really soon. I have two other products of hers and I will review the brand in great detail very soon. This dry shampoo is something I really wanted to try out for quite some time, so I told myself the time is now and went for the full size. I was not sure which size to go for, as the brand does a 15gr size, but as that one retails for 19£ and the full size of 75gr is 29£ – I figured it is the better value, so I went in – let’s hope it turns out to be amazing!
As you can see, this has lots of nice organic ingredients like nettle leaf powder and acai fruit powder, so I am excited to see if that will work better than my simple DIY dry shampoos I have done in the past.
The push for getting this product was a positive review of another equally honest blogger, who loved it for helping eczema on her scalp. Up until then the product has been on my radar, but I have had concerns on alcohol being second ingredient in the ingredients list, as well as fragrance. Surely that would dry the scalp massively? Well, I guess I won’t know unless I try, so that’s why I decided to go for it. Fun trivia fact about it – did you know that is is actually Weleda’s oldest product and remains unchanged since 1921? I also love the fact that it is not an oil, therefore does not require hair to be washed after using it. It is more like rub-in-and-go product. Sounds perfect for me? Please let me know your experience if you use this product?
I spotted this brand as soon as they appeared in Love Lula – and almost immediately all of the products went into my Pinterest Wishlist You see, this brand uses gem and flower essences in their products – any brand who does that, has my instant attention. I debated which smell I should go for first, and I chose Joy in a rollerball format – it has FLOWER ESSENCES: The Joy blend of Angel’s Trumpet, Willow and Sweet Pea. CRYSTAL ESSENCES: Rose Quartz. ESSENTIAL OILS: Bergamot, Lemon, Rose Geranium, Roman Chamomile and Ylang Ylang. This is the first but not the last time you hear me talking about the brand – I want to try EVERYTHING! I am so so curious about the rest of the products and fragrances – can someone invent “scratch ‘n’ sniff” for blogs and social media? All natural, pretty please?
