Welcome back! And if you are new here, welcome 💕💕💕
So, with Mother’s day fast approaching, you might be wondering what to get that wonderful mom of yours? Let me help – I feel it’s best if I chose all products from one stop shop to save you time, and what better shop than Love Lula? I will also keep this post short and sweet as not to take up too much of your time. I chose the products I love and believe would make a good presents. Most of them have reviews, and if they don’t, they are on the way. Existing reviews will be linked down below in the case you would love to read more in depth about products. Welcome back! And if you are new here, welcome 💕💕💕
As you might know, Love Lula is not only awesome online shop, but they do their own monthly beauty box – which feels like Christmas or Birthday present each month, mind you! I don’t know about you, but I certainly am looking forward to getting it each month. I *might* be stalking postman like a hawk around the time I expect my package. What? He has my precious Love Lula goodies, it is allowed 🙂 They ship worldwide, and the price is 14.95£ monthly recurring for UK customers, and for us international gals there are two options of three months (52.50£) or a year (210£) including post and packaging. It is all well worth it in my opinion as your money will go far and beyond with this beauty box – let me tell you the boxes are most likely be 60£ or more in value! The lowest I have seen is 49£ I think – if that isn’t a great value for money, then I don’t know what is. You are guaranteed to get 2-3 full sized products in every box each month, but they often go far and beyond that – February’s beauty box contains 5 full size natural beauty products and it’s worth £60- see, told you it is amazing value! Even if you will get samples, they are most likely be deluxe or travel size, I think I have seen sachet samples twice in over a year.
Welcome back! And welcome, if you are new here 💕💕💕
How are all of you, I hope you are well? Now that the weather is getting warmer by day, I hope everybody feels alright? If you follow me for some time, you might know I am one lucky duck also known as a part of Love Lula Accredited Bloggers, and each month we have an opportunity to choose products we want to review. Up until now I was working in a manner where I was taking my time testing the products thoroughly before posting reviews, and maybe taking my time to collect them one by one in a couple of months if that happened to be more pricy products. Which means my reviews didn’t always match what I picked that particular month. From now on Love Lula wants us to post about our picks in the same month, which means I have to chance the way I blog, but by no means the reviews will cease or be any less throughout. I simply love the feedback from you guys where I am often told my reviews are the best in a way that I touch on every aspect possible and no one does more detailed reviews than me. Why, thank you, this is music to my ears and exact driving force for my blog. Thanks for making my day guys!
I had a good talk with myself on the ways I will make this work, and I came up with the solution – I will do a blog post on the products I picked each month , the reasons I picked said products & my first impressions of them, and I will update you with more detailed feedback at the end of the next month’s post. Let me be more clear – for this month I picked up A B & C products, so I will talk about them in first impressions style post today, and I will give you my feedback in more detail in next month, right after I will talk about next month’s picks D, E & F.
So, without further ado, let’s see what I picked for this month, ok? I know that’s why you are here after all! Apparently I was in need of a good hair days and joy in my life when I was picking up products 🙂
Tabitha is the talk of the town at the moment because her products are featured in one of the most popular beauty boxes, so you will hear about them all over the media really soon. I have two other products of hers and I will review the brand in great detail very soon. This dry shampoo is something I really wanted to try out for quite some time, so I told myself the time is now and went for the full size. I was not sure which size to go for, as the brand does a 15gr size, but as that one retails for 19£ and the full size of 75gr is 29£ – I figured it is the better value, so I went in – let’s hope it turns out to be amazing!
As you can see, this has lots of nice organic ingredients like nettle leaf powder and acai fruit powder, so I am excited to see if that will work better than my simple DIY dry shampoos I have done in the past.
The push for getting this product was a positive review of another equally honest blogger, who loved it for helping eczema on her scalp. Up until then the product has been on my radar, but I have had concerns on alcohol being second ingredient in the ingredients list, as well as fragrance. Surely that would dry the scalp massively? Well, I guess I won’t know unless I try, so that’s why I decided to go for it. Fun trivia fact about it – did you know that is is actually Weleda’s oldest product and remains unchanged since 1921? I also love the fact that it is not an oil, therefore does not require hair to be washed after using it. It is more like rub-in-and-go product. Sounds perfect for me? Please let me know your experience if you use this product?
I spotted this brand as soon as they appeared in Love Lula – and almost immediately all of the products went into my Pinterest Wishlist You see, this brand uses gem and flower essences in their products – any brand who does that, has my instant attention. I debated which smell I should go for first, and I chose Joy in a rollerball format – it has FLOWER ESSENCES: The Joy blend of Angel’s Trumpet, Willow and Sweet Pea. CRYSTAL ESSENCES: Rose Quartz. ESSENTIAL OILS: Bergamot, Lemon, Rose Geranium, Roman Chamomile and Ylang Ylang. This is the first but not the last time you hear me talking about the brand – I want to try EVERYTHING! I am so so curious about the rest of the products and fragrances – can someone invent “scratch ‘n’ sniff” for blogs and social media? All natural, pretty please?
Bergamot Lemon Roman Chamomile Ylang Ylang Rose Geranium Castor Oil Grapeseed Oil Angel's Trumpet flower essence in olive oil Rose Quartz crystal essence in olive oil Sweet Pea flower essence in olive oil Willow flower essence in olive oil
So there they are, my picks for this month. As I already mentioned, I was probably in need of a good hair days and joy in my life 🙂
Now, your turn! What did you guys picked up at Love Lula recently? Please let me know, I always want to know what other people are getting 🙂 If you want to get something, here’s a little something that might be of interest for you – you get a FREE selection box worth 40£ when you spend 50£+ at Love Lula! Amazing or what?
P.s. Please make my day and subscribe & share this or any of my blog posts on social media – it helps to get the green beauty word out and for that I Thank You!
I do realize I am way late with this post, I assure you I had my best intentions to post it on time last December, but time got away from me juggling all the normal work-family-life-blogging duties coupled with intense testing slash judging for The Beauty Shortlist Awards 2019 and Holiday preparations. So I posted this post on my IG page here and promised You to come back a month later, not only with my first impressions, but with a more well rounded review. Here I am, ready to give my two cents on all the products and the box in overall. Ready to get started? I am so ready.
Firstly, let me just say that Love Lula is the only subscription box I am getting, and I am really happy with it. I’ve been getting it for around a year and a half maybe, and I have to say they do a very good job at including a good variety of products, apart of a few tiny missteps of too many scrubs or face oils in a row, other products were a delight to discover. I have to say I am looking forward to each new month in anticipation of what’s to come – Christmas or Birthday present for yourself each month, anyone? They ship worldwide, and the price is 14.95£ monthly recurring for UK customers, and for us international gals there are two options of three months (52.50£) or a year (21£) including post and packaging. There is also an option to try one box, both for UK and international customers. Green beauty boxes are a great way to discover new items you might have missed otherwise, and I love that anything coming from LoveLula is cruelty free and guaranteed not to have any toxic ingredients – they have very strict criteria for any product they accept, and that is taking the guesswork off your shoulders. Here’s what we got in the last box of 2018.
Oh, just a little note before we get started – this in an international version of the box, the UK version had two Glossworks nail polishes and Hairy Jane hair perfume – very jel I couldn’t get my paws on them, as the polishes would have come so handy during the Christmas time, and I’ve been dying to try that Hairy Jane hair perfume – sooo curious about the smell everyone keeps raving about. Can someone invent a scratch and sniff feature for blogs and social media please?
Not to worry though, as the replacements we got are equally fabulous if not more so – I am well chuffed with mine! I mean natural perfumes in those cutest teeny tiny roller bottles, do I need to say more?
I was delighted to see another product by Kathleen Natural, as I really enjoyed what I have tried from them so far – so much that a few products ended up in my 2018 Best Products list. I was impressed with this bubble bath and shower gel thingy too – it works wonderfully both ways, and the natural scents of roses and oranges does give you an instant feeling of joy!
It cleanses, hydrates, and balances the skin without dry it out.
Suitable for all skin types including sensitive skins. 100% Natural. Vegan-friendly.
AROMA Top Note: Orange Essential Oil Uplifting orange oil has a sweet, fruity scent and is expressed from the rind of sun-ripened oranges. Naturally revitalizing and uplifting, sweet orange is a staple aromatherapy oil for creating a bright, uplifting, and invigorating ambience.
Heart Note: Rose Essential Oil Rose has astringent properties that make it perfect for toning and lifting the skin. It can also enhance libido and inspire romance. It helps alleviate feelings of shock and is believed to stimulate the hormone secretions that trigger menstruation and ease post-menopausal symptoms. Rose is often used to enhance feelings of wellbeing and to induce those feelings of positivity, joy, and hope.
Base Note: Nutmeg Essential Oil Nutmeg has antibacterial properties that work against 25 different bacteria. Nutmeg oil is useful for treating muscular and joint pain and relieving menstrual cramps. This earthy aroma comforts the body, improves blood circulation, and helps reduce mood swings and depression.
a little note – did you notice this product alone exceeds the value you pay for the box? Yup, you ALWAYS get at least triple the value, guaranteed in every box. Also, you are guaranteed to get at least two full size items, but they often have three or more. Sample sizes are almost always deluxe samples comparable to travel sizes, those teeny sachets are far and few in between.
Umm, I’ll be honest with you here – I must have been suffering with blogger’s fatigue when I received this, because after trying it once and not being overly impressed by it, I gifted it to my friend at work after spotting Primark 1.50€ hand cream at her desk. I know, shock horror right? I immediately set it upon myself to fix that situation 🙂 I was thinking along those lines of “yes, we all need a good hand cream in winter, but I already have a firm favourite, so I don’t need this” I was also in the thick of testing for The Beauty Shortlist as I already mentioned, and I remember feeling overwhelmed by the amount of products – and I certainly thought I will not miss it. Until one day I was chatting with said friend and she started singing praises to this hand cream, saying it is the best hand cream she has ever used in her life! When I asked her to elaborate, she said that in a space of three days or so, her skin became soft as a velvet and she can’t stop touching her hands since and is finally looking forward to putting on a hand cream, a first in her life. So I was like “huh?” immediately and now I am asking myself have I written off a good product too soon? This got my curiosity piqued indeed, as well as giving me an idea for blog post “Love at a second sight” – all about the products that left me with lukewarm first impressions but ended up as my favourites after all. If you have this cream, I would love to know your thoughts about it?
INGREDIENTS: Aqua (Water), Caprylic / Capric Triglyceride (an emollient derived from Coconut Oil), Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Cetearyl Alcohol (an emollient / emulsifier derived from Palm Oil), Ceteareth-6 Olivate (a skin conditioner sourced from Olive Oil), Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Cera Alba (Beeswax), Olea Europaea (Olive) Husk Oil, Phenoxyethanol (a synthetic preservative), Cetearyl Glucoside (am emulsifier from vegetable oils and sugar), Limonene (a fragrance component naturally occurring in fruits and plants), Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Disodium EDTA (a chelating or preservative ingredient, salt in nature, sourced via a chemical synthesis) Ethylhexylglycerin (a skin conditioner sourced from a glycerin derivative), Linalool (a fragrance component naturally occurring in fruits and plants), Citral (a fragrance component naturally occurring in fruits and plants), Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil, Geraniol (a fragrance component naturally occurring in fruits and plants), Citric Acid (a ph adjuster sourced from citrus fruits), Cymbopogon Schoenanthus (Lemongrass) Oil
Oh, and before you ask, my favourite hand cream for the moment is Kiss The Moon Love Night Cream For Hands– I have already touched on it as one of my faves here, and will talk about it in my upcoming Winter Favourites very soon too. It made it into my 2018 Best Products list too.
Now let’s see what products came in the International Beauty Box?
I squealed with a delight when I saw these – you see, Walden’s A Different Drummer perfume shot straight to my Top Three Natural Perfumes since the day I got it! See the review of it here. Needless to say I am thrilled to get not only that but all of their fragrances in these mini roll ons, which not only look way cute, but are so handy to take with you anywhere, for travels or day to day bag.
INGREDIENTS: vary from scent to scent, but here are A Different Drummer ingredients - Caprylic/capric triglyceride, Cedrus Atlantica Wood Oil, Piper Nigrum Seed Oil, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia Peel Oil, Amyris Balsamifera Bark Oil, Pogostemon Cablin Leaf Oil, Nicotiana Tabacum Leaf Oil, Dipteryx Odorata Seed Oil, Vanilla Planifolia Fruit Oil, *d-Limonene, *Linalol, *Eugenol
Bali Balm – Cinnamon & Burnt Orange Vegan Lip Balm (20£ or 22.22€ for 15ml)
This is another product I was well chuffed to get – I added them to my wishlist as soon as they appeared in Love Lula, but soon noticed they contain peppermint oil in the ingredients. So with that my enthusiasm soon faded, as I am someone who can’t handle any peppermint on my body/ face/ scalp/ lips. That was a couple of months ago, and I soon forgot about that peppermint, so I added the lip balm on my lips, as you do, and guess what? Lo behold, it is not as noticeable as I thought it would be. Yes, there’s some tingling (and maybe plumping action) for a couple of minutes, but all I can feel is cinnamon, not peppermint, so I am very happy I can actually use this product. Now, all the peppermintiness aside, here are my thoughts about the product – I love everything about it, from the clean and short ingredients list, to the performance to even actual box it came in. You see, it came in such a luxe and sturdy cardboard box, that I even kept it, something I never do. It my seem pricy at first glance, but you are actually getting triple the product than standard, 15ml instead of usual 5. It actually lasts longer than most of the lip balms I have tried, which is one of the reasons I love it. I wouldn’t hesitate to give it as a small present, really – it’s got a Green Life In Dublin Seal Of Approval.
So, as you can see, all in all it has really impressed me – all of the items are put to good use, well done Love Lula, you can pat yourselves on the back! I actually forgot the value of the box, but quick calculation, ok ok, quick mock order from Love Lula gave me the value of 63£, which works out at around 70€, which is very impressive given the price you pay for it. You are guaranteed to get at least two full sized items in each box, although Love Lula go far and beyond, including three or more more other than not. Those teeny sachets are far in between, I only remember a couple of them in around eighteen months, so very impressed with that. Sample sizes are almost always deluxe sample sizes, comparable to the travel ones – you are guaranteed to get a good feel of the product and decide whether it is for you or not. Are you interested yet? Check out here.
So yes, here are my thoughts on the box. Let me tell you one secret thought – now you can get November Beauty Box for free if you spend 60£ on their website – fabulous or what? Let me also tell you they are now selling selection of their previous boxes for a very good prices (see here), but it is not on a constant basis, so make sure to check back often.
If you want to, shop away at Love Lula, one of my favourite online shops! I’ve written over 50+ blog posts related to products found in this online shop, as well as their wonderful Beauty Box, that I love so much. Welcome back! And welcome, if you are new here 💕💕💕
How are all of You? I hope 2019 is treating You well so far?
Idea for today’s post came via Love Lula Natural Beauty Club post, 5 Best Natural Beauty Products of 2018 of Live Naturally N (see her post here) and that got me thinking – how many of my Holy Grail Products of 2018 actually came from Love Lula? You can see my blogger recommendations here, but as life doesn’t stand still, my Holy Grail product change over time too, due to many different reasons – the brands sell out, products change in formulations, stop working or are no longer stocked by Love Lula. If You want to know my Love Lula Loves too, You are in the right place 🙂 Continue reading “My Best Love Lula 2018 Products”
Welcome back! And welcome, if you are new here 💕💕💕
So it is that time of the year, wonderful time of the year, my favourite time of the year – Green Beauty Yearly Favourites time of the year. If Green Life In Dublin Green Beauty Awards existed, these would be it! So let’s get started, shall we? We all know I love to talk and to review good products, so majority of them will have reviews either on their own, or as part of Favourites posts – so be sure to hit that search box either here or in my previous blog with 400+ posts here. Just a reminder, my skin is dry, uber sensitive and dermatitis prone. Hair is thin, but lots of it, with a sensitive scalp to boot. Lucky girl, I know 🙂
(Full disclosure, some, but not all, of the links are affiliate links, and I thank You for using them - they are at no extra cost to you as a consumer. All products mentioned here are tested thoroughly by me, and truly my Holy Grail products - I would never recommend anything that isn't my true favourite. Some of the products date back for years and haven't left my Yearly Favourites for well, years! I also want to point out that Google collects data while you browse my blog, but I think we all know that at this point.
All amazing for different reasons, but I LOVE them equally. Mahalo has a review here, all others are still waiting their turn. After being a face oil fiend for years and years, I had to give them up due to developing dermatitis (which hates oils) but I still add them for winter, when my skin isn’t coping very well on it’s own in the harsh elements.
Please let me explain why I chose these balms that are both uber expensive – it is purely because I need all the healing help I can get with my dermatitis, which sometimes flares up for no apparent reason, and blue tansy, which is present in both products, seems to be the magic that heals my skin. It is my face after all! While Mahalo Rare Indigo is a firm fave for the last three years (just check my 2017 & 2016 Favourites posts), I wanted to change things up a bit this year and purchased Blue Cocoon, which seems to be equally impressive. Pricy as they are, both jars last a year, which makes me justify the price point for them. I see more blue balms popping here and there, so I intend to try more of them out.
Kimberly Sayer is what I used for the last four years or so, but it might be overthrown by the next two, which are newer discoveries, but oh-so-impressive. I’ll talk about them soon. W3LL People, if you are reading this, come back to EU! I’ll campaign to make it happen if I’ll need to!
I hope this was in any way interesting and/or helpful to you, and if it leads to at least one person finding a good product, then my work is done. Please be on the lookout for the reviews of many of these products, and let me know your favourites as well, so I could check them out!
Welcome back! And if you are new here, welcome 💕💕💕
Today I thought to share all posts from 2018, all 70 of them in one place – purely for your convenience! Some of you might now I blog for years, some of you won’t, so I thought to round up all the reviews in one convenient place – shall we get started?
Welcome back! And if you are new here, welcome 💕💕💕
If you want to know what I got this Black Friday this year, you are in the right place. This year I didn’t do Black Friday sales round up for all the EU & UK online shops and brands post like I did last year, I decided I am against mindless consumerism. However, having said that, I did spend a lot of money myself – it was all on the good stuff that I know suits my super sensitive skin, bu the total is still eye wateringly high, and I don’t want to add up totals just yet. Head in the sand method works just fine for now, thanking you 🙂
Welcome back! And welcome, if you are new here 💕💕💕
Are you guys ready for Christmas yet, shopping done and all? If you are, more power and respect for you! If you are like me, you still might have some bits and bobs to buy, so I thought I would give you some ideas for your Christmas shopping, would you like that? The main idea behind my blog is to be helpful to you guys, and what better way than recommending great natural products at all price points? Love Lula has great Christmas Shop here and here are my recommendations from it. I thought you might like the idea of getting all your presents in one shopping spree not leaving the house, and it is all delivered to your door? Me too! Oh, the joys of internet shopping! You can also rest assured everything you will pick is natural and cruelty free, with focus on organic ingredients where possible. All that, and the delivery is free worldwide for all orders above £15. Do I need to say anything more? I think not! One stop shop for all your needs. And no harming of bunnies or humans here. I will limit each category to five to seven items as not to overwhelm you, I hope that’s ok.
This lovely set includes their famous Rose Day Cream, which is easily my favourite face cream when it comes to products from Love Lula – as well as two deluxe travel sized side kicks, Soothing Cleansing Milk & Facial toner, both of which I adored too. All for the same price of the cream itself – how amazing is that? Find my review at the end of this post, and bear in mind it also comes in Light version too, which I also loved.
This is a perfect set for someone who loves facial oils, and for someone who is new to them as well. Comes with five minis, housed in the cutest little bottles – my favourite is definitely rosehip oil, but you also get cacay, argan, moringa and marula oils. They last for ages too, so you will definitely get the feel of whether these oils are for you before investing in the full size of one of them. Retails for 20£ or just below 23€ for a box of five samples.
Madara came out with a few different present sets this year, and they are packaged so cute, you will need no additional gift wrapping, promise! If you are into mud masks and facial oils, look no further than this set. If not, check out some of their other offerings 🙂
Walden is amazing natural perfume brand, and their A Different Drummer one shot straight into my Top Three Natural Perfumes of all times – and I loved it that much I bought it in a cute 10ml roller ball format too. If you aren’t sure which one you or your recipient would like, this gift set is a perfect present. There’s a roll on set of all the perfumes too.
Hmm, I have to come clean here, I am adding this set purely for selfish reasons – I want this for myself! Primarily for that luxe eye mask, but I would be excited to try all those cute 5ml samples of oils too. Having tried a few bits from the brand I know they use high quality ingredients, their Love hand cream is something that made into my recent favourites, and the bath salts are dreamy. Love the brand’s focus on good quality sleep – it is very important on so many levels – our bodies rejuvenate at a cellular level at night. If your budget is bigger, you might treat yourself to their full sized gift set, which includes the mask, the luxe hand cream, and bath salts I mentioned earlier, but also full size of aromatherapy soy candle and 5ml of face oil. If you love lavender scent, you will be in heaven!

Probiotic skincare is all the rage at the moment, and this serum is what I want myself, so that is why I picked for this gift guide. This is something you might be a bit hesitant to buy yourself, but would love to get as a present, right? The firming and lifting effects of this age-defying serum are enhanced with long-term use. Inactivated probiotic Lactobacillus cells are added to stimulate the skin’s production of β-defensins. These peptides shift the populations of microbes in the skin to favour beneficial species so that they can out compete pro-ageing species. 147£ for this magical potion, but it that is too pricy for you, Esse have many other products, starting from 14£, so you can pick and choose.
As I already mentioned, NYR as a brand holds a special place in my heart and I love everything about them – they do everything the way I like things to be done, all ingredients are not only sustainable and fair trade, but as organic as it possibly be. Frankincense as a skincare ingredient is a superstar when it comes to anti- aging, and reducing stress as well – fantastic on so many levels! Studies show that 84% of women agree inhaling the aroma of the Frankincense Intense™ Lift Serum helps them to feel more relaxed immediately†. 71% agree their eye area is visibly lifted after using the Eye Cream†. 75% agree their jawline feels firmer and cheeks more taut after using the Creamǂ. This set might seem like it is very pricy for a second – £175.00 or €199.16, but when you actually see that it contains Frankincense Intense™ Lift Serum 30ml Frankincense Intense™ Lift Cream 50g Frankincense Intense™ Lift Eye Cream 15g, it is actually a fair price. If your skin is ready for Frankincense, this is a fantastic gift that will last at least six months if not more with daily use. Plus NYR have Christmas gift packaging down to a T – the best around if you ask me. You definitely need no more packaging or wrapping materials, that’s for sure!
Let’s start from the most expensive things in descending order with these men’s gift sets shall we?
This Ermana gift set costs 45£ (or just above 50€) but it will give your man almost a year of use, I find facial oils and balms do last for ages! I picked this set because it is suitable even for most sensitive skins. All natural ingredients too.
Ceyx is brand aimed at men, they do natural grooming products enriched with petitgrain and patchouli oil. Ceyx is Vegetarian friendly / Cruelty free / Paraben and sulphate free brand. Ticks all the right box if you ask me. Mr Green Life In Dublin is testing this kit at the moment, but I find myself stealing products from it one by one – they are good and the smell of sandalwood is dreamy. Shh, don’t tell! Review to come soon.
Another bargain present for any man in your life that shaves already – designed to give close shave and packed with essential oils. The official blurb is too funny – it says it’s citrussy lather boosts moisture and ego in equal measures! Priced at 7.95£ or 9.04€ – great budget option.
Ermana is a range of skincare products made from a blend of botanicals and all things natural. Products are all preservative free and contain no parabens, sulphates, artificial fragrances or colourings. Ermana is nourishing and hydrating nutrition for your skin.
44£ set contains 50ml Soothe Mama body oil and 60ml Soothe Mama balm
This line of products created by aromatherapist Lissa Basso with 25 years of experience! I love love love their body oils (please see the review at the end of this post), so I imagine this pregnancy oil is equally impressive. Fantastic ingredients for sure! 26£
While candle seems like a good choice for a new mum, I would advise choosing a reed diffuser over a candle, for one simple reason. I don’t know how about you, but I certainly didn’t get enough sleep for the first couple of years when my kids were little, and I certainly didn’t light any candles until they were at least 1. With all the sleep deprivation I was afraid I would burn the house down. Insert blushing emoji here. 24.95£
Aviela is a brand who uses wonderful shea butter as a base for all their products, and shea is something all mums and babies need, it softens and soothes the skin like nothing else. 35£ set contains Pure Shea Butter – 100g Shea Foot Butter Mini – 35g African Black Soap – 120g Pure Shea Butter Mini – 15g
49.95£ and you get everything you need for the perfect complexion. You get 8 pieces in the set, some full size, some samples, plus a brush and a bag. Inika is a wonderful vegan make up brand that holds a special place in my heart. Their products are amazing. Foundation, mascara and the Peachy Keen blush are one of my favourite green beauty products ever! Well worth checking out.
For 33.99£ you get the palette that will give you multiple looks for every occasion! The Solar Complete Mineral Palette is a full set of eye shadows, blush, bronzer and coconut highlighters all in one beautiful, recyclable palette.
Now, if you fancy a gift not only for your other half, but for yourself too, as well as a bit of a sexy time, why don’t try this set of massage candles? You get tree candles in a cute box, all made with natural oils and without paraffin. The scents are musk, ginger and amber. Retails for 41.50£ or a bit over 47€
These are always handy, it is something I always appreciate as a gift. After all, the gift that you use every day is the best kind of gift in my opinion.Priced from 2£ for one from Lyons or you can get a Balm Balm set of 3 for £9.
Matcha is a superfood in my opinion, full of antioxidants that we all need – ten times per cup than a regular green tea would have. It is my little everyday luxury, and I would be chuffed to get it for a present! Pure Chimp has three different sizes, and a few flavours as well, starting from only £4.95 or around €5.63 for 20gr.
These are always handy in Holiday period, even for someone like me, who does not wear nail polish for the rest of the year – there’s something in the air that makes you want to get all dolled up for Christmas! 12£ each. Their cuticle oil is fantastic too.
NYR is a brand that is close to my heart and I am very impressed by everything about it, from company’s ethos, to the products and their ingredients I’ve tried to date. Wild Rose and the Bee Lovely are my two favourite lines, and I’ve gone through countless tubes of their hand creams in the last few years. Sinks in quickly, great ingredients. Recommend.
Alteya is the brand that captured my full attention as soon as they appeared on Love Lula – and I knew I was hooked from the first spritz of their Rose Facial Mist – see review below and keep your eyes peeled for more reviews coming! Try it for yourself too – you will know it is a real deal in an instant. If you are not a rose scent fan, I still recommend you try it, because Alteya’s products smell of authentic rose, the way it should be – not synthetic sickly sweet or that musty “grandma’s house” rose scent you might have sniffed in some shops. Other type of facial mists available as well.
The Gift That Keeps On Giving
One more option I would suggest for a gift is a wonderful Love Lula Beauty Box – the recipient (or yourself) will get a beauty box full of natural and organic products each month -that’s the only beauty box I am getting and it feels like Christmas come early each time! The value is always more than 50£ and you are guaranteed to get at least 2-3 full sized products in the box. So it is well worth it, the value far exceeds what you pay for. And don’t you love the idea of a gift that keeps on giving for the whole year? To see what products came in the previous boxes please peruse my FB Love Lula album here.
*Update a few days later – I just noticed Love Lula Christmas Selection Boxpop up on the website too – almost 80£ value for only 55£. It has Walden, Ooh Oils of Heaven, Balm Balm and Hurraw products, all of which can be seen here -don’t you think you deserve that treat for yourself? You have been good all year, and didn’t just you compiled all this huge present list for everyone else? Think about it 🙂
Welcome back! And if you are new here, welcome 💕💕💕
Today I am coming at you with a review of some fabulous natural perfumes that are still into my Top Three Favourites, ever since they launched a little more than a year ago, and I wanted to share my thoughts with you.
Walden Natural Perfumes are 100% natural and made from the finest absolutes, resins and essential oils in the world. They are named after Henry David Thoreau’s seminal novel Walden. Part meditation, part handbook for simple living in natural surroundings the book has inspired countless readers and Walden Perfumes is proud to follow in those footsteps. Offering a natural alternative to mass-produced fragrances made by industrial processes and shilled by celebrities, Walden Perfumes is proud to return to the glory days of real perfumery when fragrances were made by hand in small batches from natural ingredients of the finest quality. They are housed in simply stunning bottles, they are very simplistic, but elegant, there’s chunky square glass bottle with a wooden lid and a simplistic label. The fragrance feels very decadent and luxurious to me, exactly the way I like my perfumes to be. There’s five scents to choose from.
A Little Star-Dust: Ylang Ylang, Iris & Jasmine with Amyris & Tonka Bean
(Finalist for ‘Best Natural Beauty Product’, Natural & Organic Awards Europe 2017) A Different Drummer: Pepper, Cedarwood, Amber, Amyris & Sandalwood Castles in the Air: Citrus, Tropical Flowers and Lavender The Solid Earth: Petitgrain, Vetiver, Patchouli Oil & Amyris Two Eternities: Wild Roses, Jasmine, Iris, Bergamot & Sweet Orange Oil
I chose “A Different Drummer” one as it appealed the most to me, and I am pleased to say I got it right (sandalwood and amber – yes please!) – I can’t stop oohing and aahing over it ever since I got it! I fully intend to try samples of them all as the time goes by, “A Little Star Dust” is calling my name too, but I am sure “A Different Drummer” will be in my favourites forever. When first applied, it can be a little heady and strong, but soon sinks into your skin and transforms into a natural scent that smells classy and exotic at the same time, almost one of a kind! I like not smelling like everyone else, and that is exactly that type of a smell. Choosing fragrance is very personal to me, and that is why I am so picky about it, I reject 95% of the fragrances easily. That is why I am so chuffed with myself for getting it right from the very start with Walden. The scent can easily be worn by men or women, I noticed my hubby sneakily using it too. I simply adore this scent and I am simply under the spell and utterly in love with it! I look forward to wearing it – that is saying something, believe me. Well done, Walden Natural Perfumes, your products are simply exquisite! I am looking forward to wearing them for years to come. As you can see from the photos, I love it so much that I invested in a baby roll version of it, so I could carry it with me at all times!
The fragrances are available in a few different formats, 50ml bottles, 15ml purse sprays, 10ml oil based roll ons, cutest baby roll ons bottles that you can fit in any sized purse, and of course, sample sizes, so you can try before you buy. Don’t you love samples? All available via LoveLula.
(free shipping worldwide for all orders £15+ woohoo or what?)
That’s it for today. Have you tried Walden natural perfumes yet and which one is your favourite? What natural perfumes are you guys loving? Please share with me, I would love to know!
