Hello Lovelies,

Welcome back! And welcome if You are new here xo

Monthly Musings & Things - July 2023 - Green Life In Dublin
Monthly Musings & Things – July 2023 – Green Life In Dublin

Hope everyone is ok and enjoying summer! Let’s talk a bit about my musings and things this month, shall we?

Shopping My stash

Shopping my stash. Trust me to take it to the next level, that’s what I’ve been doing this month and I have three posts to prove it 🙂

Shopping My Stash #11 – Living Libations, Vanessa Megan & More – Green Life In Dublin

Shopping My Stash #10 – Fushi Wellbeing, Josh Rosebrook, Hurraw, Bloomtown & more

Shopping My Stash #9 – Evolve Organic Beauty, Living Libations, AnnMarie Skincare – Green Life In Dublin

I think I am done with having large stash of products, I seem to have less and less money to play with at the end of the month. I know we are all feeling the crunch of the cost of living crisis. Rent and putting food on the table will always be my priority, so if that means less new products to try, so be it. I will have to think what products I will want to repurchase going forward too and maybe put a capsule of curated collection. Will that mean less or less interesting content? No, definitely not. I have 37 drafts as we speak, I am not short of ideas. Just expect more of DIYs or “best of X brand or X shop” and less of reviews of new releases.

Glass Skin with Evolve Organic Beauty

Glass skin is nothing new, but it caught my attention again recently. At one stage of my life I had it, but I was also using this super expensive line that was wildly out of my price range. Normally I don’t layer a million of products on m face as I hate the feel of products on the skin, but I will try to see if my skin will get there using a few strategic Evolve Organic Beauty products. I will keep You posted, but let’s just say that their newest serum release is what my skin adores.

Creative Excursions

This is a concept borrowed from Sarah Ban Breathnach book called “Simple Abundance”. I am re-listening this book for the third time with the hopes of reviewing it soon, but I can’t find my words for it. One thing for sure, I highly recommend You get hold of it. She talks of making yourself happy in any way possible from small joys to finding and fulfilling Your soul’s purpose and anything in between. The book is filled with gems of wisdom. Read it and prepare Your life to change. Come back to thank me later. Or not. Your call 🙂

Summer heat and pulled back

While all Europe seems to be experiencing record heat wave, Ireland had two weeks of gorgeous weather and we are back to heavy rains for the third week now. To make matters worse, I had pulled my back when we had the heatwave, I was barely functioning. Just my luck. Now that I am back to normal and ready to do things, we are in yellow warning rain situation with floods, no less. Just my luck.

THINGS

Up until two days ago I had “nothing” written. But then creative excursion by myself happened and I am now one pair of leopard print pyjamas and one pair of sunglasses richer 🙂 Total spent for this month, 29eu. Not bad, huh? Sunnies will replace one pair of other sunnies that I absolutely loved but broke recently and the pair of pyjamas is also a replacement of something that got worn out. I parted with a lot of belongings, a lot more than I thought I would. I Feel so much better and lighter. From now on, I plan to be more of a curator than a collector of things. Because that’s what they are, they are just things. An they can weigh You down if You are not careful. Going forward, I am planning to re-implement “one in, one out” rule. I am curious how much money I spent on fashion this year, I suspect a lot less than last year where I was tracking totals, simply because I seem not to buy anything lately. Aside from a good but once off score at the car boot sale, I shop my own stash (sorry, just had to) because what I see in stores is kind of pricy and not inspiring.
