Welcome back! And welcome if You are new here 💕💕💕
How are all of You? I hope You are well or well enough? I can’t believe we are still in this nightmare still – with many countries, including Ireland, in strict lockdowns again! I will be honest, I am having a hard time processing this & my mental health is not the best right now. Because of that, I barely did posting, testing & social media for this month. I am hoping to get back on track soon & I hope You will forgive me for bundling two Love Lula posts into one this month.
This beautiful face cream is one of my Holy Grail skincare products & a staple for a number of years. I have full review of it on my blog already – and I will say that this beauty has a cult following in the green beauty community for a good reason. If you have dry skin, you need this. If your skin suffers in winters, you need this. If your skin is sensitive, you need to try this. This has saved my skin times and times again in the harsh winter conditions and I stock up on it every fall/ autumn.
Ingredients: Water (Aqua), Arachis Hypogaea (Peanut) Oil, Althaea Officinalis Root Extract, Beeswax (Cera Alba), Hypericum Perforatum Flower/Leaf/Stem Extract, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Sucrose Distearate, Olea Europaea (Olive) Oil Unsaponifiables, Fragrance (Parfum), Citronellol*, Geraniol*, Linalool*, Limonene*, Citral*, Farnesol*, Benzyl Alcohol*, Eugenol*, Rosa Damascena Flower Extract, Rosa Canina Fruit Extract, Rosa Damascena Flower Wax, Lanolin, Lecithin *Component of natural essential oils.
*sadly not suitable for my vegan friends & people with peanut allergies.
I have tried samples of this time and time again over the years & finally took the plunge to get this in the hopes it would be a close replacement to my previously loved W3ll People Biotint – the brand lost me as a customer when it sold out. This foundation does not have to SPF in it, but it is ok with me. The colour I chose – Nude – is a tad light for me, but it is ok for winter & I should be done with it once the warm season comes around. This seems to last ok for me, but please bear in mind I haven’t used it much yet. I will keep You updated. I absolutely love Inika brand, see reviews below. Special shoutout to their blush Peachy Keen, which is absolutely a natural dupe for Nars Orgasm, only more gorgeous! I have a post on more than 20 natural dupes, find the link to that post in the Inika review.

Love Lula Beauty Box October 2020
Moi Vert natural deodorant
Antipodes Baptise Gel
Laidbare Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow
Balm Balm Rosehip Oil
Emani Lipstick In Ava
Well, I will be honest, this is where no testing or barely any testing happened. I love rosehip oil, it is one of my favourite oils, but I had to put this aside as I currently using other products. The deodorant is lovely, they always come in handy & this one seems to be working. The Antipodes sachet seems to be lost – I blame the house elves! The hair minimising cream we have had in the box years and years ago & I remember not liking it’s scent, so I am planning to give it away to a work mate. Same for the Emani lipstick, same reason – dislike the smell, the colour does not suit me in the slightest and it broke the first time I used it.
* a little side note, if You want to see what natural and organic lipsticks & other lip products I own, see this post below.
Let me just say that Love Lula is the only subscription box I am getting as a part of LLABP program and I am really happy with it on the whole.. I’ve been getting it for around two years maybe, and I have to say they do a very good job at including a good variety of products, apart of a few tiny missteps of too many scrubs or face oils in a row, other products were a delight to discover, and I have to say I am looking forward to each new month in anticipation to what’s to come – Christmas or Birthday present for yourself each month, anyone? They ship worldwide, and the price is 14.95£ monthly recurring for UK customers, and for us international gals there are options too, from trying one box to of three months (52.50£), six months (100£) or a year (200£) including post and packaging. The yearly plan seems to be gone down in price a bit, it used to be 210£. As I said earlier, international boxes sometimes differ from the UK ones due to postal laws, where they can’t send nail polish or perfume, but you are guaranteed to get the same or greater value product. Speaking of value, you are guaranteed to get at least triple the value of what you pay for, the lowest I’ve seen was 45£ with the highest being over 110£. You are almost always guaranteed to get at least 2-3 full sized products, up to 5 – no kidding. You know those flimsy one use sachet samples? I can count them on one hand in two years! See, good value – haven’t I told you so? Come to think of it, isn’t that the perfect gift to give your mom or any woman in your life, the gift that keeps on giving??
*psst, they have had a sale on Beauty Box on Black Friday, so keep Your eyes peeled!
